A father fishing on a calm lake at golden hour

Our story

This Started With My Dad.

Not with a business plan.

Not with a startup idea.

With a simple realization: there are still hundreds of things I don’t know about the man who taught me everything.

A founder’s note

Meet Bent & Peter.

His name is Bent. My name is Peter. And this platform exists because there are still hundreds of things I want to ask him.

Growing up, my father taught me many things. Not through speeches. Not through lectures. Simply through the way he lived his life.

He taught me that when life knocks you down, you get back up. You gain nothing from staying on the ground.

He taught me that no matter how dark things may seem, there is always light somewhere ahead. You just have to keep moving.

Today, he’s still one of the people I spend the most time with. If I’m not working, there’s a good chance I’m with him. Fishing. Talking. Laughing. Listening. Learning.

He’s not just my father. He’s my best friend.

And one day I realized something. There are still so many things I don’t know.

  • What was his biggest dream?
  • What was his biggest fear?
  • What was the happiest year of his life?
  • What did he think when I was born?
  • What mistakes shaped him?
  • What lessons does he want future generations to remember?

And then another thought hit me. If I don’t ask now… one day I may never get the chance.

That’s why this platform exists. Not because I wanted to build another startup. Not because I wanted to launch another AI product. But because I wanted a way to preserve the stories, memories, wisdom and voice of the people we love most.

For our children. For our grandchildren. For generations we may never meet.

Because photographs are precious.
But stories are priceless.

A family album

Moments worth keeping.

Peter and Bent sharing coffee at the kitchen table
An old portrait of Bent as a young man
Weathered hands holding old family photographs
Two men walking together on a quiet autumn path
Three generations laughing together on a porch

How it began

The idea behind Tell Me Your Story.

  1. 2025

    A quiet thought.

Peter begins thinking about the stories he never asked his father.

  2. Hundreds of unanswered questions.

What does Dad remember? What does he wish I knew?

  3. A harder realization.

Memories don’t wait. They disappear with the people who hold them.

  4. An idea takes shape.

What if stories could be preserved digitally — for the family, forever?

  5. The first conversations.

Long evenings. A microphone. A father, a son, and questions finally asked.

  6. 2026

Tell Me Your Story is born.

Built so other families never have to wonder what they should have asked.

Our mission

Preserve the people we love, before their stories are lost.

We believe every family has stories worth preserving.

The wisdom. The mistakes. The lessons. The memories. The voices.

Too often these disappear forever.

Our mission is simple: help families preserve the people they love before those stories are lost.

One day, my children may want to know who their grandfather really was. This platform is my way of making sure they’ll always be able to find the answer.
